Naarm-based rapper, singer, writer and creative visionary KVNYL returns to the spotlight with a bang to launch his explosive new single, 2NAS, at the Gasometer Upstairs on Thursday 21st September.

The sequel to his 2020 breakout hit, This Is Not A Single, 2NAS represents a musical evolution for KVNYL, masterfully blending elements of hip hop and heavy rock alongside collaborator and producer Boler Mani which will be brought to life in person by his new 3 piece live band.

Joining in on the celebration are emerging indie pop songstress REX, hip hop hooligan Jay Zayat, multifaceted DJ bbsanii and of course 2NAS collaborator rapper/producer extraordinare Boler Mani, creating a diverse and dynamic lineup to keep attendees grooving from start to finish.

Giving fans their first opportunity to see him headlining since his sold out Workers Club show for his 2021 project The Worst Of Me, this single launch is a must-attend for fans of Australian hip hop, giving them a preview of the massive year KVNYL has ahead and a ton of unreleased music to go along with it.

The KVNYL - 2NAS Single Launch at Gasometer Upstairs is organised and presented by Stagedive, with additional support from City Of Yarra.

Join Winten as she celebrates the release of her debut album ‘Waving To My Girl’ at The Gasometer (downstairs) on Thursday, September 21st. Joined by special guests Sunny Morris and Gracie Sinclaire (Folk Bitch Trio)!

Since releasing her first single in November, 2022, Naarm's exciting new alt/indie artist, Winten, has garnered attention for her commanding songwriting and velvety vocal performance, not to mention her playful online presence. Her debut album ‘Waving To My Girl’ is a landscape of compassion and growth, representing the painful yet hopeful feeling of meeting oneself at the precipice of self-acceptance and understanding after years of denial and negative self-talk. Exuding a mixture of subtle vs big, feel-good instrumentation, the eleven track debut was written over a two year period in the confines of Winten’s bedroom, taking shape in the dead of night after finishing long shifts at the cinema where she worked. The album was created with producer and engineer Matt Redlich (The Paper Kites, Hannah Cameron, Holy Holy) and unintentionally tracked over four different locations - The Aviary Studios, Bellbird Studio (#1 Dads, Big Scary, Maple Glider), Woodstock Studio and Redlich’s very own home setup - providing an unexpected and welcome stream of inspiration to the process alongside delicate-yet-sprawing instrumentation courtesy of Malachi Milahm (lead guitar), Darvid Thor (bass, guitar) and Leigh Fisher (drums, percussion).
