Clare Cowley is a musical storyteller deeply grounded in the folk traditions she learnt in her hometown, Allora. An experience woven into each note of Clare's layered melodies and weeping guitar, as she wrestles with notions of heart ache and desire. Themes captured in her her jazz-inspired 'Black Seeds' and 'Need a Cuddle' that led to enchanting 2023 sophomore album 'Desire notes'.

The 2024 Qld Music Award nominee unveiled her vinyl album, made in collaboration with sound engineer Dylan Jeffreys, and toured it through regional Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania. She is now busy writing and recording new material.

Whether charming listeners as a solo artist or accompanied by her band, The Flames, Cowley's performances resonate from the intimate corners of Queensland, to 'the big smoke'. Get ready Naarm, to share in a sonic dish of rustic lullabies, this September; as Clare Cowley & The Flames tour her recent release, 'stunningly arranged' Sitar Singer, and unveil latest catchy confession by the artist, In Your Web.
