Cath Rutten is a singer/songwriter from Warrandyte, Naarm/Melbourne Australia.
She has played some of Australia’s best known festivals including Lost Lands, Splendour in the Grass and Woodford Folk Festival.
She performs regularly with a variety of ensembles and is a regular at Port Fairy Folk Festival, hosting the Big Sunday Sing Out with Jimi Hocking.
In 2024 Cath has released her first album under her own name. The album is a testament to her long-time love of folksy, moody ballads with songs that are close to the bone. For this project she has brought together a stellar band of old mates including Michael Allen and Greg Arnold from Things of Stone and Wood, and Cameron McKenzie (Mark Seymour and the Undertow) who also produced the album.
Cath is doing a slow burn launch at festivals, house concerts and live music venues throughout 2024 and 2025.
