Rising indie pop artist BIRDEE 王煒 today shares brand new single ‘Dreams’, co-written and produced by 2x Grammy-nominated producer Okan (Sean Paul, Tinie Tempah, Becky G), and announces her upcoming EP On My Own due out May 26.
On My Own, the second EP from the Eora/Sydney-based artist, found its beginnings while on the road, with BIRDEE 王煒 spending several weeks overseas in 2022 performing her debut international shows while simultaneously writing and recording new music. BIRDEE 王煒 shares: "I call this EP ‘On My Own’ as most of these songs were made when I was solo travelling around Europe and LA last year. I pushed my boundaries of creating to discover what I could make and this was the result. I’ve always believed that to get out of your comfort zone is essential, in the studio and in life. These songs comprise of realisations and moments I had throughout my trip."
The upcoming EP will include previous releases ‘Keeping Love’ and ‘Self Sabotage’ - which have received support from the likes of triple j, FBi, RRR and Happy Mag - alongside new single ‘Dreams’ out today.
‘Dreams’ is another captivating release from BIRDEE 王煒, written during her first ever tour of the UK: “I was seeing new places, meeting new people, trying new things and just doing what I truly love, creating. I wanted to capture it so that everytime I listen to it, I can relive it and remember that dreams can really become reality. It sounds corny but it’s true." The single also arrives with a new music video filmed on Sydney Harbour.

With this history, JULAI has been able to thrive in the live music space with his talent for curating a real live experience. This has distinguished him as a true “master of the stage." Skillfully blending her love of sensual 90s R&B with her dreamy siren energy brings an undeniable essence of queer and dark femininity to her sound. KHYA’s breathy and angelic voice invites audiences into her fantasy, creating a stage presence that is captivating and otherworldly.
