Ashton Hawkins is a young blues pianist, with an entirely improvised New Orleans Jazz and Chicago blues style. Much of Ashton’s inspiration has come from New Orleans pianists such as Dr. John and Professor Longhair, with several of their standards forming the basis of the repertoire, however blues artists such as Otis Spann and Ray Charles have been just as influential in the development of a unique musical style.
