The Score: Encampments, Activism and Divesting From Israel With RMIT's Students For Palestine

Samira speaks with student activists and organisers James McVicar and Yasmeen Atieh from Students for Palestine; a grassroots protest group organising encampments, sit-ins and education sessions on University campuses around the country.

Their demands? That Universities (including RMIT) cease partnerships and funding agreements with military manufacturers, weapons suppliers and organisations that have ties to Israel.

James & Yasmeen talk through the establishment of the new encampment at RMIT, the history of student protests leading to positive social-justice outcomes globally (from Aparthied South Africa to the anti-war protests of the 1960s) as well as the encampments at Monash, Melbourne Uni and Deakin.
